“There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.”
-John Green
I have been privileged to have my own psychology practice for two years, opening up my practice right around the beginning of the pandemic in the U.S.
Prior to graduate school, I earned my Bachelors of Science in Psychology, with minors in Anthropology and Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago. During my year in between undergrad and grad school, I worked at an auditory neuroscience lab at Northwestern that helped me realized my love of assessment (and lack of love for conducting research). I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2017. Throughout my time in graduate school, I sought out experiences that allowed me to work with the LGBTQIA+ community, women, and survivors of trauma. I have experience working in diverse array of settings: an inpatient hospital, community mental health, middle schools and high schools, university counseling centers, and outpatient group practices. I also have a particular interest in working with client’s struggling to feel worthy/good enough, as my dissertation was on the assessment of female adolescent self-esteem. I find a great deal of meaning and joy from my work with clients and truly feel so incredibly privileged to do this work.
Outside of being a psychologist, you can find me playing with clay on my ceramic/pottery wheel. When able to, I love to travel and experience new places and cultures, my favorite places so far being Colorado and the Louvre.
